Choosing Halloween candies may seem simple – just get whatever and hand them out – but if you go into it with this mindset, you may become the most avoided house on the block! Here are some options for you to give children the best experience.
Students at Morton West were asked their top 5 Halloween candies they wish to see in their baskets this upcoming Halloween. Anthony Rosales, a senior and a student in Journalism, offered up a variety of candies as his favorites to receive at Halloween.
“Gummy bears, Gummy worms ,Hersheys, KitKats, and Feastables” Rosales said. “I love Feastables the most because Mr. Beast made it.” Although he listed a mix of gummies and chocolate candies, Rosales said he gave the slight edge to chocolate candies.
Senior Aidyn Farrell had pretty similar choices to Rosales. “Twix, Gushers, fruit snacks, Hershey, and Starburst are my top 5 candies,” Farrell noted, adding that Starburst is his favorite because of how sweet they are. While similar in variety, however, Farrell noted he’d give an edge to sweet snacks as opposed to chocolate.
Giovanni Alvarado, a Senior and former student athlete, said he doesn’t like candy that much, but still had a few choices to serve up for an occasional sweet tooth.”I don’t like candy much, but if I had to choose a top, Hershey, Gummy bears, Twix, Gummy worms, and Snickers,” he noted. “Hersheys have a great mix of flavor: not too sweet or bland, just in-the-middle good,” Alvarado added.
