Ya know what really Grinds my Gears?
Having to get up and go do something as soon as you lay or sit down. Let’s say you just get home, you head to your room, you’re tired, sleepy, or just had a long day of test or work. You lay down on the soft bed or sit down and get cozy. And then your Mom or Dad yell out, “I Need You Here!”
Worst thing.
All you waited to do was to have some comfort and rest, but no: they want you right there and right now. So now you must crawl out and go to the task you’re needed for. Sometimes its for something dumb, like grabbing something from the cabinet, turning off the lights, or grabbing the remote. It’s like, “YOU’RE RIGHT THERE! YOU COULD HAVE GOT IT! And at that point, you realized they wasted your time, the time you could have been resting. and now you’re left grumpy which makes you unable to rest.
It’s like the Universe is working against you in the pettiest way. You try to rest, get called and then you’re too awake or grumpy to rest. If you do get to rest after that, you’re most likely to get called again which leaves you even more cranky. Nothing is worse than going to bed or relaxing while being mad: it doesn’t let you think. Worse than that, GETTING CALLED A THIRD TIME. Then they wonder, “Why are you so moody?” Now you have to explain it to them, and they either wind up calling you lazy or say, “Don’t talk to me with that attitude: I’m the adult, you’re the kid.”
And it’s just a whole mess from there on out.
All this does is leave you more restless and more moody than before, and now you can’t even lie down because of said moodiness, forever stuck in a limbo of wanting to get comfy only to be dragged out.
That’s what really grinds my gears. Stay tuned for more.
