Breakfast can be a hassle when you’re just trying to get out the door and make it to school on time. But the weekends give us those rare moments when we can make a five-star breakfast as an indulgence for our tastebuds.
This buttery, savory, and sweet strawberry-stuffed French Toast is totally filling and checks all the boxes for breakfast AND dessert. Plus, it isn’t too hard to create, and you probably have most of the ingredients on hand!
Ingredients:
- Thick slices of Brioche, Challah, or French Bread – Cut loaf slices work best!
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (1 pkg)
- Softened 1/4 cup Sour Cream
- 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract, divided
- 1 cup Strawberries, fresh or frozen, sliced super thin
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Optional Toppings:
- Maple Syrup
- Additional Powdered Sugar
